NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Bob Benza No Time, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.750/204.17, Was #17
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.634/208.17, Now #1; Best prior run: 14.616/57.73, Was #22

Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.06 inches, adjusted altitude 2,679 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

Benza with a big wheel stand and then the car got out of the groove. Then it darted across both lanes and hit the right wall with left front of the car and then spun around and slammed the driver side of the car. He then spun around and came to a stop in the middle of the track. Johnson in the other lane with a great pass and he goes to the number one spot. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.267/165.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.551.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.663/206.39, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.730/204.91, Was #17
Right Lane: Jim Cunningham No Time, Now #22; Best prior run: 13.881/60.98, Was #22

Cunningham started drifting out of the groove and got over by the wall and tagged it. Enders was straight down the groove to get in the sho for now. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.276/164.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.572.

Left Lane: Vinnie Deceglie Runs 7.994/121.75, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.692/206.80, Was #16
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.627/208.42, Now #1; Best prior run: 13.571/44.90, Was #21

Deceglie started drifting out of the groove and got real close to the centerline before he lifted. Anderson launched hard and was straight down the groove to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.776, 660ft-4.263/165.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.546.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.609/208.68, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.691/207.02, Was #16
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.843/200.35, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.902/199.49, Was #21

Gaydosh made big move in the right direction, but not enough to get in the show. Johnson with a great pass to go to the number one spot and sets both ends of track record. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.245/165.42 mph, 1,000ft-5.529.

Left Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.623/208.23, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.677/207.56, Was #14
Right Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.636/206.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.761/205.66, Was #20

Gray with a nice pass to go to the number two spot. Johnny Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.254/165.21 mph, 1,000ft-5.540. Jones gets into the top half of the show...Rickie Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.257/164.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.548.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.631/207.27, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.669/206.67, Was #15
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.636/207.69, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.693/206.80, Was #19

A couple more straight down the groove and they both get into the top half of the show. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.763, 660ft-4.255/164.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.545.
Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.264/165.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.551.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.656/206.76, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.668/207.27, Was #16
Right Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 6.620/207.85, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.688/206.76, Was #18

Yonke with a real nice pass to go to the number two spot...Bob Yonke's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.250/165.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.535. Gray improves, but he won't be happy with this pass in these weather conditions. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.267/163.69 mph, 1,000ft-5.567.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.620/208.17, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.661/207.40, Was #16
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.659/206.76, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.686/206.67, Was #18

Humphreys improves but not enough to get in the show. Gaines with a great pass and he ties Yonke's E.T. and will get the number two spot because of the faster mph. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.253/165.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.592/208.97, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.658/208.20, Was #16
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 9.592/96.07, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.648/207.59, Was #13

Brogdon got loose and out of the groove and over by the centerline before he clicked it off. Coughlin launched hard and was straight down the groove to the number one spot with both ends of the track record. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.236/165.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.514.
Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.887, 660ft-5.047/102.77 mph, 1,000ft-7.351.

Line ties Gaines and Yonke's E.T. and he gets the number four spot because he has the faster speed. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.258/165.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.540. Krisher with a great pass to go to the number two spot and he gets the track speed record. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.769, 660ft-4.256/163.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.524.

Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 13.060/60.74, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.641/207.88, Was #13
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.602/209.30, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.644/208.46, Was #14

Edwards shook right off the starting line and clicked it off. Johnson with a great pass to go to the number two spot. He sets the track speed record. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.245/165.78 mph, 1,000ft-5.524.
