Bernstein and Brown have each won 7 times against the other in prior events. Brown with the starting line advantage and the lead until around right in the lights when Bernstein drove around him. Brown started to haze the tires and then drop cylinders giving Bernstein the win by 0.0866 seconds (approximately 28 feet).
