Ray gets a little advantage off the line but it isn't enough. Payne drives around him at the 1000 foot mark and pulls away for the win.

Jay Payne's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.012), 330 ft(-0.016), 660ft(-0.007), 1,000ft(0.005). MOV: 0.0261 seconds (approximately 9 feet).

Commisso gets about 200 feet out, the car loses traction and makes a move to the left and he backs off the throttle. Smith goes right down the groove and takes the win.

Payne will have lane choice over Smith in the final round.
