Special awards from the 41st NHRA SuperNationals.

K&N Filters Horsepower Challenge award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Mike Edwards, Coweta, Okla., Penhall/Interstate Batteries Pontiac GXP, 6.513 seconds, 211.49 mph.

Best Engineered Vehicle - Korek Designs Super Gas Corvette. Driver: Scott Albrecht, Jackson, N.J.

NHRA Best Appearing Car - 1963 Corvette, Pro Mod. Driver: Dina Parise, Oakdale, N.Y.

NHRA Best Appearing Crew - Stalba Racing Top Alcohol Dragster team. Driver: Karen Stalba, Hammonton, N.J.

Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award ($3,000 each to Top Fuel and Funny Car, $1,500 to Pro Stock and $750 to Pro Stock Motorcycle for the crews that are recognized as the hardest working of the event):
Top Fuel: Cory McClenathan's FRAM crew for posting the quickest run in 1000-foot era and earning the No. 1 qualifying position.
Funny Car: Bob Tasca crew for advancing to the final with a new body and Ford Boss 500 motor.
Pro Stock: Mike Edwards crew for tuning his Pontiac GXP to run the second-quickest time in NHRA Pro Stock history.
Pro Stock Motorcycle: Michael Phillips crew for earning a No. 1 qualifying award for the first time in his career.
