10:55 a.m. - Phillips was the number one qualifier here and it was the first time in his career that he had qualified in the top spot in the order. He has three wins and two losses to Johnson in round wins in prior events, and these two have never raced each other in a final round. Neither rider has ever been in the final round here at Englishtown before this.

Phillips was first out of the starting gate and he needed it because Johnson had his career best ET in a losing effort.
