Both cars were staged, then Finke's car slipped through the beams, giving Nicholson the win.

Kosky is 1 - 0 against Mercier in prior events. Kosky was quicker out of the gate and quicker on the track, so he'll move on to the next round.

Martinets got this win on a holeshot. He'll race Kosky next time around and Kosky will have lane choice.

Horner was in the staging lanes but could not get the car started. Guest had a solo run for the win and gave up lane choice to Nicholson.
