Musi got out of the gate a few thousandths before Hoover, but trailed at 60
feet. After that, he pulled back in the lead and stayed there for the rest of the quarter mile.

Lang was already ahead at that time, having had the quicker reaction time.

Ray took the lead at 60 feet and stayed out in front the whole way down the track.

After that, it was Commisso all the way. Commisso won lane choice over Musi in the next round. Both had identical ETs but Commisso had a fester speed.
