JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 13th annual United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Miller Welders:

The indexes took a beating in most of the round one pairings - nothing permanent, but lots of adjustments for the rest of this race.

Brian Browell has a 0.07 CIC penalty; Greg Kamplain has a 0.08 CIC penalty.

Browell had the better light, but Kamplain ran him down for the win. Greg Kamplain's MOV: 0.0134 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Robert Bailey has a 0.10 CIC penalty; Doug Lambeck has no CIC penalty.

Bailey had a very good light and caught Lambek on the top end. Robert Bailey's MOV: 0.0467 seconds (approximately 11 feet). However, he took a permanent 0.01 index adjustment to get that win.

Martel was late and that cost him the drag race. He went way under his index trying to catch Hickey, will permanently lose 0.02 tomorrow.

Caro was to have raced Harris, but Harris was unable to return after the first-round tangle with Bruno Massel and Caro got a free pass to round three. he took the light and backed away. He will raceHickey in round three.
