Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Final Session

JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 13th annual United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Miller Welders listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Dave River Runs 6.910/199.91, Now #24; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.751/204.54, Now #23; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 62 percent, barometer 28.98 inches, adjusted altitude 3,473 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

River with a little wiggle on the top end...Schmidt will not get into the show.

Left Lane: Kevin Lawrence Runs 6.849/201.61, Now #25; Best prior run: 6.945/177.35, Was #25
Right Lane: John Nobile Runs 6.771/203.77, Now #24; Best prior run: 26.193/25.73, Was #26

Lawrence with his quickest pass, but will not get into the show. Nobile will not get into the show.

Left Lane: Jimmy Alund Runs 6.755/204.32, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.733/205.44, Was #21
Right Lane: Mark Hogan Runs 10.840/82.34, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.735/205.60, Was #22

Hogan with a couple wiggles early and he clicked it off. No help here for Alund.

No help for either driver here...and Jones will not qualify for only the second time this season.

They run identical E.T.s and they will not get in the show.

Gaines is just a tick off his early pass and will stay in the number 15 spot. Stevens will race on Sunday for the first time since Pomona 2 2008, but he had only been to one race since then at the last race in Topeka.
