Last years NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing season for the Tanksley Automotive, Steve Kent Trucking backed, Competition Eliminator race team out of Central, Louisiana was one to remember. More than two times did the Tanksley crew surpass the national record, and also became the first C/dragster entry to ever dip into the 6.70's. Above all, Team Tanksley earned the praise of having possibly the fastest naturally aspirated inline wedge small-block combination in drag racing history.

"This upcoming season is one that we plan to make even better" says Tanksley. He adds that "Our engine builder's at Patterson Racing are constantly finding more power which is more than a racer could ever ask for. We've had chassis builders at work since the off-season started. We're constantly looking for ways to go faster. With what seems like a race season nearing its start, we just can't seem to find enough time in a day to do all the things we would like to do. As always we would like to completely thank everyone who supports our efforts in doing what we love. The list of names goes on. Steve and Trudy Kent, Patterson Racing, CFE, John Meaney, Roger Green, Jerry Eckman, Jimmy Thibodaux, Carmena's Collision, and everyone else. We are making some serious changes for this upcoming season, and if things work out the way we expect them to, then the fans should be in for a treat."
