LUBBOCK, Texas -- Sunset Racecraft has agreed to terms as a major NHRA contingency sponsor in 2010, posting $64,150 in awards to finalists at NHRA Full Throttle National events, Lucas Oil Divisional Events, and JEGS SportsNationals. Sunset Racecraft is the only competition engine builder currently posting awards for race engines. Sunset Racecraft customers in Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Dragster, and Top Sportsman will compete for extra cash courtesy of the Lubbock, Texas based engine building magnate.

"We're ecstatic to have this opportunity to give something back to our NHRA customers," said Sunset's Tracy Dennis. "We've been heavily involved in the inclusion of the Top Dragster and Top Sportsman classes in NHRA, and we've got a great core customer group in the Super categories; so posting contingency seemed like the next logical step."

To be eligible for Sunset Racecraft contingency postings, racers must be the original purchaser of a Sunset Racecraft competition engine within the last 36 months, or have purchased $4000 in parts or labor from Sunset within the last 24 months.
