CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 4 time trials in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA, Indianapolis Test Session Day 1 listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.063/188.89, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.112/187.34, Was #3

4:30 p.m. Nice pass by Arana in the heat of the afternoon - just a few ticks better than Johnson's run a few minutes ago at each timing increment. Hector Arana's incremental times: 60ft-1.068 sec., 330ft-2.930, 660ft-4.503/155.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.879.

Left Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 7.037/187.63, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.115/186.23, Was #4

4:32 p.m. And Ellis appears to be getting a handle on things, with the best run by a two-wheeler so far today. Chip Ellis' incremental times: 60ft-1.050 sec., 330ft-2.900, 660ft-4.473/155.72 mph, 1,000ft-5.849.

Smith made the quickest run of the day. Matt Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.921, 660ft-4.479/157.21 mph, 1,000ft-5.840.

Another good-looking run for Johnson, about the same numbers as the previous run. Steve Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.070 sec., 330ft-2.922, 660ft-4.499/155.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.878.
