Pro Modified Time Trial Notes, Session #4

CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 4 time trials in Pro Modified at the NHRA, Indianapolis Test Session Day 1 listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 7.603/121.75, Now #5; Best prior run: 11.356/74.75, Was #5

4:41 p.m. Commisso had a little early tire shake and the car started to get loose in the middle of the run, so he clicked it off. Raymond Commisso's incremental times: 60ft-1.019 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.246/148.10 mph, 1,000ft-5.885.

Left Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 6.453/163.69, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.458/168.53, Was #2

4:44 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 46 percent, barometer 29.17 inches, adjusted altitude 3,353 feet, track temperature 121 degrees.

Nice-looking run by Knowles, with an early shutoff. Mike Knowles' incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.634, 660ft-3.967/186.54 mph, 1,000ft-5.193.

Left Lane: Melanie Troxel Runs 8.598/108.12, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.703/161.79, Was #4

5:02 p.m. Troxel left hard, drove through a little early shake, then the car started moving out of the groove and she lifted. Melanie Troxel's incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.757, 660ft-4.617/118.98 mph, 1,000ft-6.619.

Left Lane: Joe Baker Runs 6.508/146.08, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.575/144.16, Was #3

5:16 p.m. Another good-looking run for Baker, but the early numbers were not quite as good as his earlier run. And the chutes once again produced a puff of powder when the deployed. Joe Baker's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.647, 660ft-3.971/187.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.159.

5:49 p.m. This run was plagued by shake almost from the start. Raymond Commisso's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.885, 660ft-5.100/099.99 mph, 1,000ft-7.498.
