INDIANAPOLIS -- Paul Romine and the Carrier Boyz Top Fuel Dragster team have agreed to join forces for the remainder of the 2003 POWERade Drag Racing season. CARQUEST Auto Parts will be the primary sponsor of the team. "Mark and Andy Carrier have given me a great opportunity to drive their car for the remainder of the 2003 season," says Romine, who in 2003 is competing in his first full season of NHRA drag racing. "Jimmy (Walsh, crew chief) has the car running competitive and I think this partnership along with my continued backing from CARQUEST Auto Parts will give me the best shot for a NHRA win and a Top 10 POWERade Drag Racing Series finish." Mark and Andy Carrier are the sons of IHRA founder and former Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway track owner Larry Carrier. In December 2002, they made the step into the professional drag racing with the purchase of a Top Fuel operation from Doug Herbert that was formerly owned by Romine. The Carrier Boyz team is led by veteran crew chief Jimmy Walsh.
