Will is 5 - 2 against Herbert in prior events. Herbert is out of the gate first and up in smoke right off the starting line. Will used up an engine for the win, but she had a couple freebies in the oil down bank. Will is going to her fourth final round.

Schumacher is 16 - 4 against Lucas in prior events. Lucas with the starting line advantage, but Schumacher had the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas Tree. Schumacher with the fifth quickest pass in the 1000-foot era. Lucas with a good clean pass in a losing effort.
