McPhillips was out of the gate first, but Perry has the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree. Perry with a great looking pass to take the win...Ken Perry's incremental times: 60ft-0.917 sec., 330ft-2.391, 660ft-3.547/214.66mph, 1,000ft-4.540

Kosky is out of the gate first and never looks back with a great pass. He will give up lane choice to Perry in the semifinal in the blown alcohol match up.

Gallant with a huge starting line advantage and the power to hold on for the hole shot win. Samsel was real loose and got real close to the wall, but reels it in. He runs the his career best E.T. and mph in a losing effort. Gallant will have lane choice over Reichert in the semifinal.
