CONCORD, N.C. --
"I see the Charlotte area as a great place to build our new racing home," said Bob Tasca III, owner and driver for Tasca Racing. "We'll have the nation's premier race track five minutes from our doorstep, and the location allows for our team to return home for more than half the races in the season, and to have a home shop to work out of between races." With his Crew Chief, Chris Cunningham, already residing in the Charlotte area, along with the availability of numerous racing suppliers, the ability to test well into the off-season, and its location in regards to where NHRA competes, Concord was a natural fit for this first-year race team.
The new Tasca Racing shop will feature the newest in racing equipment, including blower and clutch dynamometers, as well as fuel flow benches and machine equipment. "Motorcraft and Quick Lane have made a commitment to our racing team, and with this new shop, we'll be able to have the most up-to-date equipment for our team to enhance our performance out on the race track and get those brands into the Winner's Circle," said the rookie driver. Tasca's new race shop has a scheduled completion date of February 2009, in conjunction with the start of the 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Series season.
