Al Kenny's first national event final round was at Sanair, in 1977, where he lost to Dale Armstrong (yes, that Dale Armstrong) in the Pro Comp final. He has a record of two wins in five final rounds. Haas has been to three finals, with one win.

Kenny had a "James Bond" .007 light and a dead-on 9.900 for a winning 0.007 package against Haas' red light, the second dead-on final in a row (see the Super Stock final for details).
