Lewis' car jumped stright up in the air, then smoked the tires. Kosky went right down the groove and into his first national event final round since Maple Grove, in '03.

Thacker was off the line first and led past half track, then Conway went by and won going away with low ET of the weekend. Tom Conway's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.008), 330 ft(-0.014), 660ft(0.030), 1,000ft(0.069). MOV: 0.0667 seconds (approximately 25 feet). This will be Conway's first final round since Indy in '95 and he will have lane choice against Kosky. Thacker did a nice job, with a great light and his best run of the weekend, but Conway is getting back in the swing of things and he will be tough in the final round.
