NORWALK, Ohio -- The Second annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, the 12th of 24 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Drivers in four categories - Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle - earn points leading to 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series world championships.

WHERE: Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, Norwalk, Ohio. The track is located half way between Cleveland and Toledo; just an hour and a half north of Columbus. The Ohio Turnpike is less than 10 minutes away.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, June 26-29.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.3 million.

SCHEDULE:
THURSDAY, June 26 - Sportsman qualifying begins at 9 a.m.

FRIDAY, June 27 - Sportsman eliminations begin at 8:30 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, June 28 - Sportsman eliminations begin at 8 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 12:10 p.m. and 2:05 p.m.
K&N PRO STOCK HORSEPOWER CHALLENGE, with rounds at 11:30 a.m., noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

SUNDAY, June 29 - Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m.
FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION:
Saturday, June 28, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying highlights at 10 p.m. (ET).

Sunday June 29, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will air NHRA Race Day at 11 a.m. (ET).

Sunday, June 29, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise three hours of eliminations at 7 p.m. (ET).
