Connolly is 13 - 1 against Gaines in prior events.

Connolly was first off the starting line and he extended his lead as he went down the quarter mile. Both drivers made nice-looking runs but Gaines was just not quick enough.

Anderson is 25 - 3 against Edwards in prior events. Anderson won there in 2002, 2003 and 2007.

Anderson was going to take the left lane but changed his mind at the last minute and decided to race in the right lane. Edwards went red so Anderson got the win. He also earned lane choice over Connolly in the final round.
