ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 18th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Tii Tharpe Runs 6.938/170.81, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.735/202.52, Was #8
Right Lane: Johnny Mancuso Runs 6.464/213.57, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.523/210.08, Was #3

Mancuso with a nice pass and he dips into the 6.40's. No help for Tharpe.

Left Lane: Tracy Kile Runs 6.877/200.84, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.841/200.53, Was #9
Right Lane: Jack Romine Runs 16.449/70.36, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.513/214.54, Was #3

Romine smoked the tire as soon as he got on the throttle. No help for Kile.

Left Lane: Larry Brancaccio Runs 6.545/212.56, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.490/138.82, Was #11
Right Lane: Doug Vancil Runs 6.505/214.28, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.714/212.36, Was #6

Vancil had to wrestle his bike again on this pass, but still has his quickest pass of the weekend. Brancaccio with a nice pass to get in the show and that bumped out Tharpe.

Left Lane: Mark Cox Runs 6.578/208.57, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.605/206.04, Was #7
Right Lane: Steve Stordeur Runs 15.576/68.80, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.436/217.97, Was #1

Stordeur had problems right off the starting line and clicks it off. Cox improves, but will stay number seven.

Left Lane: Joe Scatella Runs 6.898/208.52, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.973/200.93, Was #11

Scatella with his best pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show with one more shot.

Left Lane: Mike Romine Runs 6.484/213.27, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.577/213.87, Was #6

Romine launched hard and had nice pass to move into the top half of the show.

Left Lane: Bill Furr Runs 6.457/216.34, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.724/203.48, Was #8

Furr with a great pass to get off the bubble into the number two spot. That wraps up round three with Stordeur leading the pack and Cox on the bubble.
