JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 11th annual Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Kevin Lawrence Runs 6.844/200.89, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 6.806/202.12, Now #13; No Prior Run

12:18 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 64 percent, barometer 29.25 inches, adjusted altitude 3,397 feet, track temperature 109 degrees.

Yonke makes a decent run for the conditions to get in the 13th spot for now, Lawrence in the 14th.

A couple of clean passes, both get in the show for now.

Right Lane: Todd Hoerner Runs 6.763/203.92, Now #13; No Prior Run

Hoerner makes a decent pass to get in the 13th spot for now. hammonds makes a clean run but not quick enough to make the show.

Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.769/203.52, Now #16; No Prior Run

Gaines makes a decent pass to get in on the bump, Deceglie gets in the 14th spot.

Left Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 6.776/203.58, Now #18; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.754/203.92, Now #13; No Prior Run

Gray with a clean pass but doesn't get in the show. Jones makes a decent pass to get in the 13th spot, bumping out Gaines and putting Naylor on the bump.

Left Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.733/204.82, Now #7; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Dave Northrop Runs 6.770/204.01, Now #19; No Prior Run

Schmidt makes a great pass for the conditions and gets in the top half of the field for now. No help for Northrup.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.765/204.45, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.742/204.73, Was #13
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.741/205.01, Now #12; No Prior Run

Connolly slows from his earlier run yesterday and stays in the 14th spot. Johnson makes a decent pass and gets in the 12th spot.

Left Lane: John Nobile Runs 13.228/63.60, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.741/204.48, Was #13
Right Lane: Larry Morgan No Time, Now #26; No Prior Run

Morgan had a rear wheel start and received no time. nobile had problems early and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.754/204.17, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.737/204.01, Was #11

Not many improving today with the conditions.

Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.938/205.19, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.735/204.85, Was #9

Johnson was slow the first part of the run and hurt his ET. Krisher makes a decent pass but doesn't improve.

Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.750/204.20, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.732/204.26, Was #6

Line has a great 60 foot time, a .985, and he makes the quickest pass of the round so far. No help for Stanfield but he is safely in the show.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.705/204.98, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.726/205.10, Was #2
Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.742/204.05, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.728/203.74, Was #5

Coughlin makes a great pass, the quickest of the weekend, and he takes the top spot. Yates with a decent pass but was way behind.

Johnson makes his quickest pass of the weekend and stays in the second spot. Anderson with a decent run but doesn't improve.
