JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 11th annual Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Junior Pippin Runs 7.496/171.42, Now #16; Best prior run: 8.421/151.04, Was #18

6:02 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 61 percent, barometer 29.09 inches, adjusted altitude 3,570 feet, track temperature 98 degrees.

Pippin improves from his first pass and gets in on the bump for now.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.132/186.15, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.577/155.76, Was #17
Right Lane: Ryan Schnitz Runs 7.402/177.42, Now #16; No Prior Run

Arana makes a good run here and moves all the way to the fifth spot. Schnitz makes his first pass of the weekend and gets in on the bump for now.

Left Lane: Buddy Robinson Runs 7.286/181.06, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.377/180.52, Was #15
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.245/185.36, Now #10; No Prior Run

Stoffer crossed the center-line on her first pass and received no time. She makes a decent pass here to get in the show in the tenth spot for now. robinson improves a little and moves up a notch in the order.

Right Lane: Angie McBride Runs 7.812/145.93, Now #21; Best prior run: 37.243/165.78, Was #23

McBride starts drifting toward the center-line late in the run and backs off the throttle. Harris improves a little but stays on the bump.

Right Lane: Joe DeSantis No Time, Now #23; Best prior run: 13.964/54.51, Was #23

DeSantis makes a hard move to the left at the hit and takes out the 330-foot timing block. Bradford makes a big improvement and moves up to the eighth spot.

Smith had problems in the first round and is not in the field. he takes care of that on this run, going right down the groove and getting in the show in the third spot. Sampey improves and gets in the fourth spot for now.
