BRISTOL, Tenn. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Eighth annual O'Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Q listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.717/205.22, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.116/194.46, Was #27
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.739/205.13, Now #19; Best prior run: 12.081/77.51, Was #28
Coughlin with a little wiggle right off the starting line, and he will not get into the show...Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-1.009 sec., 330ft-2.824, 660ft-4.337/162.88mph, 1,000ft-5.641 Coughlin's qualifying streak will end at 70 races, the last time he didn't qualify was Heartland Park Topeka of 2004.

Jones with his best pass this weekend, but he will not get in the show for the first time in his short NHRA career. Rickie Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.826, 660ft-4.343/162.24mph, 1,000ft-5.650
Left Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.813/201.43, Now #27; Best prior run: 6.795/202.09, Was #27
Right Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.818/202.33, Now #26; Best prior run: 6.795/203.28, Was #26
No help for either of these two, and they will not get in the show.
Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.751/203.68, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.740/204.20, Was #21
Right Lane: Steve Spiess Runs 6.804/203.12, Now #25; Best prior run: 6.771/203.86, Was #25
Koretsky won't get into the show, so neither one of the finalist from last years race will be around on Sunday this year.
Left Lane: Dave Northrop Runs 6.743/204.08, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.739/203.86, Was #20
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys No Time, Now #24; Best prior run: 6.758/204.35, Was #24
Humphreys did the burnout and then was leaking something after the burnout and NHRA shut him off.

Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.768/203.71, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.742/204.48, Was #22
Schmidt with a little tire spin right off the starting line and he will not get into the show.

A couple good looking passes and they will end up number one and two in qualifying for the 36th time and the second time this year. WJ will collect his 138th No. 1 qualifying award and his second this year.
