DALLAS -- Funny Car driver Cruz Pedregon has raised the heat level on and off the track with his new line of cooking sauces. Pedregon becomes the first NHRA driver to have officially licensed hot sauces and grilling sauces. Dallas-based Hot Sauce Harry's, which licenses Major League Baseball and 35 NCAA Colleges, has licensed the rights to produce CRUZ PEDREGON NITRO HOT SAUCE as well as CRUZ PEDREGON LIME, PEACH and CAJUN GRILLING SAUCES.

Pedregon, from California and an avid fan of the hot and spicy, personally tasted and approved the sauces that bear his name. Bob Harris, co-owner of Hot Sauce Harry's, said, “We are extremely proud to be associated with Cruz and his major sponsor Advance Auto Parts. To be the first to produce officially licensed sauces for an NHRA driver is quite a thrill for us. With Cruz’ love for speed and heat, this is a natural, and we plan to add other spicy items to his lineup.”

One of the fiercest competitors on the NHRA circuit, Cruz won the Winston Funny Car Championship as a rookie in 1992. Cruz's name is forever in the NHRA record books for becoming the first Funny Car driver to reach 310 mph in July 1996 and for setting the national elapsed time record at three different events in 1998.
