GENOA, Ohio --

Sherman Adcock, Jr.
The staff at Advanced Product Design would like to take a moment to congratulate several of the company's carburetor, fuel system, and engine customers on their championship runs in 2007.

In NHRA competition, perennial championship contender Sherman Adcock, Jr. earned the second national championship in his storied career behind the wheel of his Valvoline backed Firebird roadster. Sherman relies on APD gas carburetors and fuel systems in both his Super Gas and Super Comp entries. Edmond Richardson made a triumphant return to NHRA competition by finishing 2nd in the national Super Comp standings on the strength of national event titles at Atlanta and Richmond. Edmond also uses APD carburetors and fuel systems on his Undercover Motorsports dragster.

On the IHRA side, longtime local hitter Damien Hazelton drove his APD equipped Camaro to the Hot Rod World Championship on the strength of several final round appearances, besting some of the most successful competitors in the classes history to earn his first world title.

Luke Bogacki
In big dollar bracket competition, APD customers earned the majority of the most prestigious event victories and championships in big bucks events throughout the country. Luke Bogacki drove his American Race Cars dragster to the CSR Super Pro national championship in the DragRaceResults.com/Goodyear Bracket Series, and completed an amazing double championship campaign by winning the Sportsman title in his Mickey Thompson Tires Vega as well. Luke depends on APD carburetors and fuel systems in both of his championship winning machines.

Aaron McCaulla finished the Tenn-Tuck series in a tie for the championship with Wendell Webster, Jr. Aaron, who advanced deep in eliminations at several of the illustrious Tenn-Tuck events at Beech Bend Raceway Park, also depends on APD carburetors for his bracket racing needs.

Advanced Product Design customers practically swept the annual Florida winters series at both Bradenton Motorsports Park and Moroso Motorsports Park. Perennial sportsman racing juggernaut Jason Lynch bolted an APD gas carburetor atop his Wilkerson Racing Engines 598 before the opening event at Bradenton, and promptly drove his dragster to the 5-Day points title.

Troy Williams, Jr.
Lynch's feat was duplicated in impressive fashion by Troy Williams, Jr. the following week at the Moroso 5-day. There, Williams claimed back-to-back main event wins in the midst of a 20-round winning streak to run away with the Moroso 5-Day Points title, earning the second Moroso championship of his career. Troy uses a Holley Performance carburetor modified by APD atop the P.A.R. engine in his Mullis Race Cars dragster, in addition to a complete APD belt-drive fuel system.

Several other APD equipped racers scored big in 2007, including Million Dollar Race winner Gary Williams, World Footbrake Challenge winner Scotty Richardson, Farmington Big Bucks Bonanza winner Rustin Mayse, and Ultimate 64 Shootout winner Rob Kropfeld. Each of those events paid $50,000 or more to the winner! Former IHRA Summit Super Series champion Rick Baehr added to his impressive career totals with a track championship at Milan Dragway. Rick uses an APD engine, carburetor, and fuel system in his familiar No Box machine.

APD would also like to congratulate each customer who recorded a win in 2007 (and submitted that victory to the APD scoreboard at http://www.APDRacing.net): Beth Ann Atkinson, Adam Bambarger, Heath Bambarger, Toby Barnes, Chris Bear, Barry Brown, Chris Butcher, Jim Carlton, Shane Carr, Jon Ciccarone, Phil Combs, Will Crawford, Adam Davis, David Davis, J.
