The building was = constructed by ACME Buildings, Inc. and is owned by Tim Buckley, = President of Vintage Design Inc. and financial partner of David Powers = Motorsports. The team had previously worked out of a facility in = Pittsboro, Ind.
Last season the two Powers-owned dragsters finished second (Rod Fuller) = and eighth (Whit Bazemore) in the NHRA Countdown to the Championship = standings. In its first full season with multiple cars, Fuller drove his = Caterpillar dragster to three wins in six final rounds appearances. The = team also collected five No.1 qualifying awards. The Powers team was the = only multi-car Top Fuel team with two cars to make the Countdown to 4. = In November, the team announced that 16-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle = racer Antron Brown will pilot the Matco Tools dragster in 2008.=20 Headquartered in Houston with race operations located in Brownsburg, = Ind., David Powers Motorsports fields the two-car Top Fuel operation of = drivers Rod Fuller and Antron Brown.
