Melanie has won two races previously this year, Kalitta is looking to keep his string going of winning at least one race a year since his Top Fuel debut in 1998.

This is a fittingly great race to end the event. It's basically settled by reaction times and Kalitta was ahead at every timing interval. He takes the win by a slim .0326 seconds.

It's been a great race and the last one I'm scheduled to cover this year. Thanks to all who made comments, good or bad, and for making DRC the first site serious drag fans log into.
