DINWIDDIE, Va. - 7 p.m. Time for Plan B. As the Safety Safari tried to add rubber to the track in the final stages of drying, the rubber already on the track started peeling up. Right now, the track is covered with "gold dust" and they are repeating the rubber grinding process. The estimate is still "an hour from now." The schedule for tonight has been revised. Pro Modified is out of luck tonight. Pro Stock will lead off the only qualifying session for the day as soon as the track is ready, followed by Funny Car and Top Fuel. Dew should start forming around 9:30 p.m. Hopefully, the qualifying session should be completed by then. The weather is looking better, broken clouds and some blue sky, so maybe Plan C won't be necessary.
