MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Bill Glidden Runs 9.340/99.52, Now #23; Best prior run: 16.771/47.66, Was #22
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.729/205.44, Now #4; No Prior Run
Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 29.72 inches, adjusted altitude 2,504 feet, track temperature 104 degrees.
Glidden with problems and is coasting by half track. Line with a nice pass to get into the top
half of the show.
Left Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.769/202.33, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.804/202.00, Was #20
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.709/205.76, Now #3; Best prior run: 16.956/47.41, Was #24
Johnson was straight down Kenny Bernstein Boulevard to go to the number three spot. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.808, 660ft-4.315/163.63mph, 1,000ft-5.613 Watson improves, but is just short of getting in the show.
Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 12.397/69.54, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.790/203.61, Was #21
Right Lane: Dave Northrop Runs 6.756/203.77, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.226/150.93, Was #23
Koretsky made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off. Northrop with a nice pass to get into the show and that will bump out Humphreys.
Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.753/204.20, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.783/203.95, Was #21
Right Lane: Todd Hoerner Runs 10.172/89.35, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.895/202.15, Was #23
Hoerner made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off. Edwards with a real nice pass to get into the show and he will bump out the number one qualifier from Indy, Naylor.
Left Lane: Craig Hankinson Runs 6.750/203.74, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.775/204.08, Was #20
Right Lane: Tom Hammonds Runs 6.719/205.29, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.776/204.45, Was #21
Hammonds with a great pass to get into the top half of the show. Tom Hammonds' incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.813, 660ft-4.323/163.41mph, 1,000ft-5.623 Hankinson gets into the show and these two bump out WJ and Northrop.
Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.736/204.94, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.748/204.73, Was #12
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 9.418/97.76, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.762/203.92, Was #20
Humphreys made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off. Coughlin moves up the ladder three spots.
Left Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.697/205.07, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.743/204.08, Was #12
Right Lane: Max Naylor Runs 6.715/203.34, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.761/203.86, Was #19
Yates with a great pass, and will go to second place and misses the top spot by mph. Jim Yates' incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.796, 660ft-4.302/163.73mph, 1,000ft-5.601 Naylor with a great pass to get into the top half of the show. Max Naylor's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.299/162.51mph, 1,000ft-5.608 Naylor bumps out Edwards.
Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.737/202.76, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.739/204.54, Was #12
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.751/205.66, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.756/204.57, Was #18
Gaines improves, but stays number 12. WJ gets back into the show and on the bump. WJ bumps out Schmidt.
Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.700/205.54, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.735/205.26, Was #10
Right Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.751/205.01, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.753/204.94, Was #17
Johnson with a great looking pass to go to the number three spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.799, 660ft-4.306/163.65mph, 1,000ft-5.605 Schmidt ties WJ for the bump spot, but will not get into the show because WJ was faster.
Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.723/203.61, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.729/204.63, Was #10
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.775/204.91, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.749/204.39, Was #14
Krisher moves up the ladder one spot. No help here for Stanfield.
