CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro RWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Manny Cruz Runs 9.978/101.92, Now #4; Best prior run: 8.706/156.50, Was #4

Cruz leaves really soft and then it didn't look like the car ever really went on boost.

Left Lane: Brad Personett Runs 6.421/217.98, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.097/213.87, Was #2
Right Lane: Gary Lee White Runs 6.544/210.83, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.645/208.30, Was #1

Personett spools up and blasts off the line. He lays down a historic run, the quickest and fastest pass ever for a Pro RWD. White also goes below the record, but it's gets there a few microseconds too late.

The standing record is 6.55 @ 213.13. Personett will have a few more passes in order to get a back up.
