Sampey has a long list of accomplishments on her side of the screen, but a win in the Battle is not among them. Ellis has been to two finals in a row in this event.

Sampey will hae to wait until next year, Ellis nailing her to the tree and then running away from her. They were almost dead-even at 60 feet, but Ellis was never headed.

Hines is looking to post his third win in this event - and he will have a chance to do so. It was dead-even at the start and Smith led for several hundred feet, but the Vance & Hines Harley had too much for Smith on the top end today and went by for the win. Andrew Hines' incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.011), 330 ft(-0.009), 660ft(0.010), 1,000ft(0.047). MOV: 0.0801 seconds (approximately 21 feet).
