TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –- Rumors have floating around the industry, but today the Awesome Motorsports Pro Modified team of Mike Castellana and Shannon Jenkins along with nitrous expert Brandon Switzer announced plans for their Speedtech “Innovative Nitrous Solutions” business. The business will be based in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and operate from a 6000-square foot facility that will house their production equipment.

Speedtech’s objective will be to assist the customer in all facets of nitrous activity, from plumbing manifolds to complete custom installations. That will include all facets of nitrous, ignition and plumbing in the car. They do not discriminate whether the vehicle is destined for the land or sea. State of the art equipment will make their efforts limitless. Flow testing and metering will also be available for fuel or nitrous including alcohol and nitro with any nozzle or injector. Speedtech will offer on-the-track tuning as well as one-on-one service.

Castellana, who became the first driver to pilot a nitrous doorslammer in the six-teens added, “We are doing this because we want to ensure that the nitrous combination is alive and well in Pro Modified and that its survival will remain for years to come. I think there is a need within the industry for a company that can provide racers with advice from someone that actually is out there racing and doing R&D with the product. Service after the sale will be an important part of our program as it should be with any company.”

Production is slated to begin in January of 2004.
