LAGUNA HILLS, CALIF. -- With the 2006 Pro Modified race season over, the dream is just settling in for Danny Rowe and his crew chief Jimmy Rector . Not only did Rowe have a strong showing in IHRA competition, the team also proved to be one of the top competitors in NHRA drag racing.

Finishing the season in second place in the IHRA eMax Drag Racing Series in the Torco Race Fuel Pro Modified division, the newly formed team of Rowe, Jimmy Rector, Karen Rector, Junior Gossett, Wes Gossett and Tony Rowe went head-to-head with the best in the world. Consistently qualifying for each race and winning rounds, including a final round appearance in Milan, Michigan, the team found a winning combination. With the points battle tight, the outcome came down to the final race of the year. Rowe was able to pull off a career best IHRA finish for 2006.

"This has been an incredible season. The level of competition in Pro Modified throughout the season made for some of the most exciting racing I have ever seen," said Rowe. "For us to finish No. 2 in the world during our first season as a team is a testament to the quality of the individuals that make up Danny Rowe Racing."

Despite running a very limited schedule in the NHRA AMS / RPM Pro Mod Challenge, the results were similar to those achieved in IHRA competition. Qualifying in the top of the field for the few races attended, and making a final round appearance at the NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Motorsports Park, Rowe was able to finish strong just outside of the top 10. Ending the year in the No. 11 spot, Rowe and team proved their success in IHRA could be duplicated in NHRA competition.

"Reflecting back on the 2006 season only solidifies the strength of our team and our efforts. Going into 2007 and our quest for the World Championship, we know we will improve our level of performance." explained Rowe. "With Jimmy Rector, and the rest of my team, I am looking forward to continued success."

It takes the cooperation of many key individuals and organizations to accomplish the winning success enjoyed by Rowe and team. Danny Rowe and team would like to thank Gainsborough Capital, NGK Sparkplugs, Hoosier Tires, Redline Oil, and Weld Racing for their continued support throughout the 2006 race season.
