3:58 p.m. - Manzo has run strong all day even though he has already clinched the national and division title. Beers got out of the gate first but Manzo had the difference made up before they reached 60 feet, Manzo continued to pull away. At about 1,000 feet, Beers' engine let go and the car started trailing smoke. Frank Manzo's incremental margins: 60ft(0.001), 330 ft(0.087), 660ft(0.166), 1,000ft(0.245). MOV: 0.3259 seconds (more than 100 feet).
