11:17 a.m. - Mercier got out of the gates first and pulled away from Morris to take the win.

Monaghan did not make it back for eliminations today so Finke had a solo pass. Finke launched hard, got the front wheels more than a foot in the air and then went on to earn lane choice over Mercier in the next round.

Horner was did not return today. Before this round, the quickest Gallant has run has been a 5.227, but Finke already went quicker than that today.

Gallant launched, shook the tires a bit, got it hooked up again and clicked it off before he reached the 1,000 foot marker. Neither Bourke nor Winward returned today so Gallant will have a bye in the next round.
