NOBLE, Okla. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, South Central Division, event at Thunder Valley Raceway Park listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: James Thompson Jr Runs 5.618/251.11, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.398/258.24, Was #3
Right Lane: Aaron Olivarez Runs 5.568/256.77, Now #9; Best prior run: 5.623/256.11, Was #10

Thompson dropped a cylinder at about 300 feet. Olivarez is off his game, his best pass of the weekend isn't good enough to put him into the field.

Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 5.325/268.25, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.327/265.56, Was #1
Right Lane: Randy Meyer Runs 5.447/261.85, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.437/261.55, Was #4

A strong pass for Massey. Meyer was on a very good looking pass until he dropped a cylinder at about 1100 feet.

Left Lane: Garrett Bateman Runs 5.577/256.70, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.525/259.66, Was #6
Right Lane: Brandon Pierce Runs 5.511/249.03, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.371/257.28, Was #2

No problems for Bateman. Pierce had a cylinder out on the hit, and he dropped one or two more at the finish line.

Left Lane: Karl Brounkowski Runs 5.828/257.28, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.536/260.79, Was #8
Right Lane: Richard Putz Runs 5.445/262.54, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.471/260.71, Was #5

A good looking pass for Putz. Brounkowski dropped a cylinder at about 300 feet, and he picked it back up at half track.

Left Lane: Darryl Hitchman Runs 6.066/238.60, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.003/227.38, Was #12
Right Lane: Scott Murray Runs 5.758/238.72, Now #11; Best prior run: 5.751/237.65, Was #11

Hitchman had to drive through some early tire shake. Murray dropped a cylinder at the finish.
