Only three pairs in this round. Both of these cars won first round from the top half of the ladder. They cars leave together, but Wayne's car does a move about 100 feet out. He finds the middle of the lane again and finally catches a slowing Corbani right at the lights.Bill Wayne's MOV: 2 feet

The winner here will get the Bye run next round. Sullivan is never in the race, as he leaves last and is slow down the track. Bates has his act together to run strong for the win. He improves on his prior ET's.

Genco was the upset winner in round one, while Lavoie set low ET. No joy for Genco's team as they break before staging and Lavoie makes a clean run. He will get the free pass to race Wayne in round 3.
