        Bye 774 Jim Murphy
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.201 6.363 152.18
 Prior rounds:
E1 (D SCHUTZ ) 0.125 6.564 177.27
 Qualified: #12 5.961 230.47
11:48 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.40 inches, adjusted altitude 2,315 feet.

We have Murphy taking the single from the double DQ from last evening's first round. He shook pretty hard and was off the pedal just after half track.

722 Jack Harris 7917 Brad Thompson
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.182 5.970 249.51 0.100 7.592 131.46

 Qualified: #11 5.953 230.71 #3 5.849 222.93
This is a big Reunion match up with Thompson actually coming into the round as a favorite over The Sheriff based on qualifying. Harris fell behind early and Thompson was pulling away hard until something went away in the car. Harris was ahead by half track and puling away as Thompson was only coasting. Guess we don't run these on paper huh?

792 Jason Richey 708 Howard Haight
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.124 5.897 241.80 0.072 6.122 229.88
 Prior rounds:
E1 (P KAISER ) 0.146 5.901 256.92 (B HARRIS ) 0.104 5.945 257.43
 Qualified: #2 5.833 259.81 #10 5.945 256.84
This just might be a costly win as Richey blew up some parts and some have said the car might have gotten into the wall. No one can confirm anything other than there is oil on the track and we will be down for awhile. Sounds like Haight might be back under the break rule. Wish we had more info but the cleanup is finished and the call is 'Fire the next pair'.

766 Adam Sorokin 781 Mendy Fry
E2 0.075 5.878 253.09 ****WINNER**** 0.092 5.856 240.89
 Prior rounds:
E1 (R MCGEE ) 0.078 6.035 235.29 (S MASON ) 0.102 7.800 203.20
 Qualified: #1 5.806 255.39 #8 5.928 242.13
Mendy had a ball in the Cacklefest last evening doing her first push start in, I believe, the Schubert and Herbert car. Now she looks for a win in the second round of Top Fuel. Whoa! Sorokin really had his hands full as it was reported he blew a right rear tire and was all over the lane. It appeared he got the car stopped but again the ambulance rolled. Fry didn't escape unscathed. She appeared to lose an engine and did some skating around herself. It looks that everyone is ok but we are down to clean up the oil and parts.
