Crawford went from the top to the bottom of the mountain when he let the clutch out. His Mopar moved just a few inches and lurched to a stop. Mike could only watch Ron disappear and hope he'll get another chance to run in the 7.90's and set a record.

Tran's Q machine went left toward the wall, then lurched toward the centerline. Kenny never lifted, but he had a lot of extra movement the whole quarter mile.

Leslie made up the starting line difference quickly and simply blasted out another seven. 4:33 p.m.
