LAS VEGAS -- The Fifth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, the 22nd of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2005 NHRA POWERade Series world championships. Sportsman competitors in four categories earn points leading to '05 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world championships.

WHERE: The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas. Track is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Las Vegas off Interstate 15.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 20-23, 2005

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.8 million.

SCHEDULE:      
THURSDAY, Oct. 20 -- Sportsman qualifying and time trials, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
FRIDAY, Oct. 21 -- Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 7:30 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at noon and 3:30 p.m. 
SATURDAY, Oct. 22  -- Sportsman eliminations begin at 7:30 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at noon and 3:30 p.m.
BUDWEISER SHOOTOUT, with rounds at 1:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.
SUNDAY, Oct. 23  -- Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m. 
FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.
