JOLIET, Ill. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Fifth annual Ameriquest Mortgage NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Todd Datweiler Runs 5.345/268.97, Now #6; Best prior run: 13.217/84.66, Was #26
Right Lane: Jared Dreher Runs 10.130/81.17, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.495/253.99, Was #14

Weather conditions: air temperature 53 degrees, relative humidity 66 percent, barometer 29.85 inches, adjusted altitude -239 feet, track temperature 68 degrees.

Datweiler with a great run to start the day, this is his career fastest pass. Dreher lost traction right off the stareting line.

Left Lane: Rich McPhillips Runs 5.337/253.52, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.460/263.77, Was #14
Right Lane: Robin Samsel Runs 6.859/231.44, Now #23; Best prior run: 5.851/254.71, Was #23

McPhillips with his career best E.T. to get into the show and that bumps out Bowgren. Jeff Bohr is on the bump spot at 5.501.

Left Lane: Ken Perry Runs 5.393/261.17, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.355/264.55, Was #8
Right Lane: Timothy Bowgren Runs 5.445/259.26, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.504/261.67, Was #17

Perry with a good pass, but doesn't improve. Bowgren who just got bumped out with his season quickest pass to get back into the show.

Left Lane: Jeff Hamelink Runs 5.482/261.22, Now #16; Best prior run: 5.533/260.46, Was #20
Right Lane: John Finke Runs 10.565/79.29, Now #9; Best prior run: 5.368/253.99, Was #9

Finke with tire smoke early and shut it off. Hamelink with his season best E.T. to get in the show and also a career best speed.

Left Lane: Jeff Bohr Runs 5.455/261.93, Now #16; Best prior run: 5.501/260.36, Was #18
Right Lane: Richard Putz Runs 5.505/259.56, Now #13; Best prior run: 5.404/264.03, Was #13

No help here for Putz. Bohr who just ngot bumped out gets back into the show.

Left Lane: Bill Reichert Runs 5.182/280.66, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.267/278.81, Was #3
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 5.251/274.33, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.308/258.71, Was #5

Reichert with a great pass to go to the number one spot and look at the speed a career best. Bill Reichert's incremental times: 60ft-0.923 sec., 330ft-2.365, 660ft-3.460/228.61mph, 1,000ft-4.385 Torrence with his career best speed and he moves up a couple spots.

Left Lane: Scott Murray Runs 20.749/52.82, Now #20; Best prior run: 5.517/239.06, Was #20
Right Lane: Aaron Olivarez Runs 5.276/270.97, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.289/271.13, Was #5

Murray is up in smoke as soon as he hits the throttle. Olivarez improves, but not enough to move up the ladder.

Left Lane: Dave Hirata Runs 5.165/276.35, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.507/251.86, Was #19
Right Lane: Brandon Johnson Runs 8.447/97.69, Now #12; Best prior run: 5.392/263.72, Was #11

Hirata with his career best E.T. to go to the number one spot and that is the fourth quickest pass in the history. Dave Hirata's incremental times: 60ft-0.930 sec., 330ft-2.358, 660ft-3.434/231.68mph, 1,000ft-4.359

Left Lane: Ashley Force Runs 5.449/259.56, Now #17; Best prior run: 5.819/259.11, Was #22

Force with her best pass of the weekend and comes up just a little too short. This was a great session. The first round of the AllStars will count for qualifying, so we will see what happens the the quickest field ever was a 5.399 seconds from this race last year.

Right Lane: Guy Kelly Runs 5.496/257.04, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.424/260.21, Was #12
