Reichert's last win came at Topeka in 2000. He had three wins and 16 losses in his 19 final-round appearances prior to this. Gallant's last national event win was at Gainesville in 2004.

Gallant did a weak burnout and then shut his car down. Reichert had an easy run down the track for the win.
