Manzo has 15 wins and three losses in final round competition against Newberry. He has 26 wins and three losses in his previous 29 final round appearances.

Newberry shook the tires as soon as he launched and shut it down by the time he reached the 330-foot marker. Manzo took his car down the groove for his second quickest ET of the weekend and the top speed of all TAFC cars here at Maple Grove. Something must have been wrong with Newberry's car because after he ran, the crews went out to clean the track.
