CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro RWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 51st annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Ara Arslanian Runs 16.267/79.67, Now #5; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Brad Personett Runs 7.034/213.57, Now #4; Best prior run: 14.454/90.10, Was #4

9:24 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 29.79 inches, adjusted altitude 921 feet, track temperature 88 degrees.

Arslanian's car died on the launch.

Left Lane: Stephan Papadakis No Time, Now #7; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Vince Fourcade Runs 6.585/212.03, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.711/211.89, Was #2

papadakis shut off after the burnout. Fourcade took two tries at the tree before getting the car to launch.

Right Lane: Matt Scranton Runs 9.219/122.19, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.634/214.86, Was #2

Scranton's car made a hard move toward the wall on the launch and he had to lift.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 8.577/113.45, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.754/201.79, Was #3

Hartford was supposed to run beside Scranton, but Papadakis left a trail of oil on his burnout and the "rug shampooer" made a few laps before Hartford pulled up. Hartford left hard, with a 1.011 60-foot time, but was out of the throttle before half track.
