Prock Sets Single-Season No. 1 Qualifier Record in Funny Car

B. Force, Anderson & Herrera also Take Top Spots at Ford Performance NHRA Nationals





LAS VEGAS - Funny Car points leader Austin Prock broke John Force's record for most No. 1 qualifiers in a single season on Saturday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, powering to his 14th top spot of the 2024 season at the 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals.

Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also qualified No. 1 at the 19th of 20 races during the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the fifth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Austin Prock drove his Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car 3.817 second pass at 327.98 mph.

Austin Prock secured his 14th No. 1 qualifier of season thanks to his 3.817-second 327.98 mph on Saturday at the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Prock claimed the record for most No. 1 qualifiers in a season in the nitro ranks, dethroning legends John Force and Tony Schumacher.

Former Top Fuel champion Brittany Force secured her fifth No. 1 qualifier of the season thanks to her 3.660-second pass at 334.98 on Saturday at the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.596 second pass at 207.02 mph.

Pro Stock's Greg Anderson secured his seventh No. 1 qualifier position of the season on Saturday at the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals thanks to his 6.596-second pass at 207.02 mph at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Gaige Herrera rode his RevZilla/Mission Foods/Vance & Hines Suzuki to a 6.813 second pass at 198.20 mph.

Reigning Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Gaige Herrera took over the No. 1 qualifier spot on Saturday at the Ford Performance NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when he powered to a 6.813-second pass at 198.20 mph.
