POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 64th annual NHRA Winternationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 53 degrees, relative humidity 58 percent, barometer 29.84 inches, adjusted altitude 1,217 feet, track temperature 93 degrees.
Aaron Stanfield is 55 - 21 in Rd. 1 (72%). David Cuadra is making his 6th start.

Stanfield with a great light, but the car made a move toward the centerline and he pushed the clutch back in. Cuadra is straight down the groove with a nice pass for the win.

This is the 1st time Chris McGaha has started from the top half of the field in his last 26 starts. Brandon Foster is making his 2nd start. The #10 PS qualifier has upset the #7 qualifier in Rd. 1 at this race in 6 of the last 10 years (including the last 3 years).
This is the first time McGaha and Foster have faced each other in eliminations.

McGaha with the starting line advantage, but the car made a move toward the wall and he clicked it off. Foster with tire shake right at the hit and pedaled it. He got it to hook up enough for the win.

Coughlin Jr. goes red to Anderson the win. Anderson kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the event for the win.

Enders slowed on the top end, but gets the win. She will have lane choice over Foster in the next round.
