Just a great ol' drag race to wrap up the event They leave just 0.001 apart at the green and run side by side right to the finish line.

Capps gets the early narrow lead and holds off Pedregon until right after the 330 foot lights. Pedregon starts to slowly pull ahead to the finish line and takes a five foot win.

This is his first of the year, with every pass in the low three eighty range and his thirty-ninth career win. The car was like a bracket racer all weekend.

Capps just barely lost to Pedregon this round, but is the 2022 Funny Car Champion. Repeating his 2021 Championship, this time as the team owner!
