MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 10th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals:

Bob Tasca is 129 - 117 (52%) in rd. 1 for his career. Alexis DeJoria is 5 -4 against Tasca overall and is 2 - 0 against him this year.

DeJoria gets out of the gate first and stays in front for about 400 feet. She strikes the tires, makes a move toward the centerline, then she has to back off of the throttTasca goes right down the groove with a clean, straight pass and pulls away for the win.

Bob Tasca III's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.060), 330 ft(-0.097), 660ft(0.073). MOV: 0.5297 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Blake Alexander is 30 - 42 in rd. one matchups. Dale Creasy is making his 117th start.

This is the first time Creasy Jr. and Alexander have faced each other in eliminations.

Creasy gets the holeshot but Alexander pulls even at the sixty foot mark.

Creasy was on a decent pass, then looks like the may have started chewing itself up about 900 feet out. He makes his quickest pass of the weekend but it still wasn't enough to take the win.

Alexander makes a decent pass and pulls away for the win.

Hagan makes a decent pass but something was hanging from the bottom of his car that trip the sensors too soon and his time was not valid.

King has problems right off of the line. He stays with it for about 200 feet, puts a cylinder out, makes a move to the right, then backs off of the throttle.

Capps goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the event, his quickest pass of the year, and pulls away for the win.

Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.869 sec., 330ft-2.219, 660ft-3.126/286.01 mph.

This (#3) is the best starting spot for Bobby Bode. This is his 8th start and he is looking for his first round win.

This is Terry Haddock's 301st race. His 4 round wins this year are the most for him in any single season.

Haddock hits the throttle and goes up in smoke ending his day. Bode was mixing up cylinders from the start. He gets about 900 feet out, a lot of smoke starts coming from the headers, but he goes on through for the win.

Tasca will have lane choice over Bode in the next round.

Pedregon gets off the line first and starts pulling away. He drifts a little to the right, then gets close to the wall just after he goes through the lights. Campbell makes a clean pass but was falling behind all the way through the run.

Pedregon will have lane choice over Alexander in the next round.

A coin flip off of the line, Todd gets the early lead. Wilkerson gets about 400 feet out, loses traction, and makes a move toward the centerline. Todd goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win.

J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.872 sec., 330ft-2.247, 660ft-3.158/283.01 mph.

Todd will have lane choice over Hagan in the next round.
